Nice Côte d'Azur Airport sits just 7 km from Nice city centre, which makes it the closest major airport to a city centre in France. The drive to Promenade des Anglais hotels, the Old Town or Nice Ville station typically takes around 15 minutes, so a Nice airport to city centre transfer is over almost before it begins — provided the road is clear.

Traffic along the Promenade des Anglais builds through the summer months and during event weeks, and the queue at the taxi rank after a wave of arrivals can easily last longer than the ride itself.
