Standard and Peak Saturday fares: private transfer Geneva Airport → Courchevel
Private transfer
A driver meets you in arrivals and takes you straight to your chalet or hotel door. The fare is fixed per vehicle, not per person: from €380 in a sedan for up to three, or from €430 in a van for up to eight — which makes it cheaper per head than a shuttle for a full family or group. On peak Saturdays (19 December 2026 to 10 April 2027) the sedan fare is €435. Tolls, winter tyres and chains, flight tracking, one hour of free waiting, ski bags in vans and child seats are included.
Shared shuttle
Shuttle companies sell seats in a minibus that leaves at set times and drops passengers at several resorts and chalets. From about €50 per person, it suits solo travellers. The catch: you wait for other flights, the minibus stops several times on the way up, and on Saturdays the trip can take five hours.
Altibus coach via Moûtiers
Altibus runs winter coaches from Geneva Airport (11 December 2026 to 26 March 2027), from about €47 per person. For Courchevel you change at Moûtiers station and continue by local coach, minibus or taxi. The cheapest option with a fixed timetable — but with skis and suitcases, the change at Moûtiers is the hard part.
Train via Moûtiers
There is no train to Courchevel. You go from Geneva to Moûtiers-Salins-Brides-les-Bains with one or two changes, then take a bus or taxi for the last 35–50 minutes up the mountain. Rail fares run about €60–150 per person; door to door, count 3 h 30 to 5 hours.
Rental car
About €120–180 per day in winter, and the same 2 h 15 – 3 h on the road — if you are comfortable driving mountain roads in snow. Winter tyres are compulsory and chains must be on board. A car rented on the Swiss side of the airport needs permission to enter France, and parking in Courchevel 1850 is limited and expensive.
Helicopter
The fastest option: about 30–35 minutes in the air to Courchevel Altiport, from around €450 per seat on shared flights, and several thousand euros for a private charter. Flights depend on the weather in the mountains, and luggage weight is limited — skis and large bags may travel separately by road.
Which option should you choose?
- Family or group with skis: a private van — one vehicle, door to door, often cheaper per head than a shuttle.
- Solo on a budget: Altibus or a shared shuttle, accepting the change or the extra stops.
- Tight schedule or arrival on a Saturday: a private transfer booked in advance, or the helicopter if the weather allows.
- Confident winter driver staying more than a week: a rental car, if your chalet has parking.
